KNICKS BOW TO WADE AND HEAT AS SEASON DRAWS TO CLOSE

Dwayne Wade served the 2008-2009 New York Knicks a third helping of individual offensive whup-ass last night when he scored 55 points in a Heat victory at home.  Wade’s point total was just one shy of Glen Rice’s franchise record of 56 points.  Previously Kobe set a MSG record by scoring 61 against the Knicks which was shortly followed by a virtuoso performance by LeBron as he scored 50 points and a day after the game and an official ruling found himself  rebound shy of a triple double.

No one seems to remember that after LeBron’s showing during February’s Fan Depreciation Week, Wade gushed about the opportunity to play New York’s defenseless Knicks although he has enormous love and respect for D’Antoni, who along with Coach K, led Wade to a gold medal in the Beijing Olympics.  Wade’s performance and the attitude of the league stars when playing these Knicks simply demonstrates that the Orange and Blue have a long way to go to regain professional respect as a team.
