“But Stern also cited LeBron’s lack of sportsmanship.

“He knows that sportsmanship is appropriate whether you win or lose,” Stern said.

This was one of LeBron’s very few mistakes as a pro. Otherwise, his record is virtually spotless when it has come to comporting himself in a professional manner. He’s always been more than accommodating with the media. He came into the league at 18, going on 30.

Maybe one day he’ll figure out he can’t win ‘em all. Come to think of it, despite calling himself a winner, he still hasn’t been seen holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy. But let’s not dwell on such trivial details.

The commish’s job was to send a message to James right away, reminding him that he’s not bigger than the sport.

At last check, no one is.”

Mr. Stern screwed up.Everyone connected with sports, the Golden Goose, is a dream merchant, including the media. It’s about nothing but selling something. So you should at least respect your consumer somewhat.I don’t really care about LeMoney showing his ass to the national media. Many great athletes, Chaiberlain, etc., have done it before and even sent the fine in before being fined. What really bothers me is the justification by anyone in the Biz for bad sportsmanship in an era where our “yute” are all ready running amuck in this era of “Me-an-ness”.If Le-I’m-a man-and-I-truly-care-about-others, knew how much harm he caused by implanting the “Fuck sportsmanship, I’m a competitor image” in so many young minds the other day.(Let’s face it, most kids are just followers.See gangs, bullying, Nike ads, etc.)he would be very Le-Shamed of himself.Anyone who has youngsters to raise or works with young people knows how selfish and selfcentered this group can be, let alone the many adults walking around with still immature brains.Charles Barkley once famously howled, “I ain’t no role model, your parents are your role models!”He, older and wiser, has since recanted because being a role model just comes with the job.You take the(very big) money, do the job, and play the role, even if you are a complete asshole and really believe its all about Me, LeCon!Oh you didn’t get your promotion on your job.You got passed over or fired, didn’t get a call in a biddy game? Then naturally, it’s time to go postal.
Mr Stern you FYCKED UP!You should have been on the phone to LeConfused and his handlers in the Cleveland locker room and told him to get his ass in the Orlando locker room to make amends. This is your show and we all know that. It’s called fixing shit on the run.Who works for you?Your sportmanship statement is a week late, so it is as sorry as you are.How do I know this? When L’Immature stalked off the court after the other team didn’t play nice with him my stomach flipped and said “oh, oh! Here comes trouble!Don’t you have a stomach?Shame, Shame, shame, shame on you David. We don’t want to dance to this tune.
Oh yeah Dave, the anniversary of the slaughter in Tienamen Square was yesterday.Did you have a drink with Mickey and your new Chinese partners to celebrate your commitment to the “new ” China?By the way, does LeBron even know about Tienaman?Do you think tanks vs. people is sporting?Maybe you should tell him?Keep up the good work David, and maybe someday they’ll build a statue of you outside a Disney arena somewhere in Mongolia, or Times Square. After all, you’ve been a good sport.
