LAS VEGAS SUMMER LEAGUE SCHEDULE IS OUT: KNICKS BEGIN PLAY ON JULY 14th

The Las Vegas Summer League, scheduled for July 10-19, has released its schedule. The Knicks will play five games beginning at 3pm on July 14th.  They will play the Grizzlies, Pistons, Thunder, Bulls and Timberwolves.  Potentially, the Knicks will face draft picks #2 (Grizzlies), #3 (Thunder) and #6 (Timberwolves) unless they trade up and have one of those picks on the team.

I plan to attend the summer league games to get a first hand look at our new recruit and possibly, but not likely, Danillo Gallinari.  If you intend to be in attendance, let me know.

Games

Tuesday, July  14th, 3pm, Knicks v. Grizzlies

Wednesday, July 15th, 1pm, Knicks v. Pistons

Friday, July 17th, 5pm, Knicks v. Thunder

Saturday, July 18th, 3pm, Knicks v. Bulls

Sunday, July 19th, 1pm, Knicks v. Timberwolves

  1. Just flying along the blogosphere and I see that the NBA is planning a major announcement in LA at 4:15 Pacific Time. Speculation is that the draft is moving to LA. I would be surprised since my sources indicated that the draft was in NY this year as advertised. Perhaps they’re moving it next year.

Updated: I just read that it is probably about the 2011 All-Star festivities being in LA. I’ll be there. Let me call my sis and get the hook up now.

    An NBA press release:

    WHAT: Major NBA Announcement

    WHO: David Stern, NBA Commissioner
Timothy J. Leiweke, President & CEO AEG
Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor of Los Angeles
    Jan Perry, Councilwoman Ninth District

WHEN: Sunday, June 7 @ 4:15 pm PT

    WHERE: STAPLES Center Interview Room

  2. I just love the site Seven Seconds or Mess largely because of the awesome videos it presents breaking down plays. Usually they’re breaking down the broken-down Knicks, but here is a nice video of the Orlando-LA matchup which I think, at least, Peaceman and O&B will appreciate.

  3. It ends tonite if LA takes it.Do you really think Outlandish-O can beat the Kobe Steakthruthehearters three in a row, anywhere on this earth? That would make a great ride in Disney.Takers win tonite and they only need one of two on their return to La-La Land?Stern, the last honest man, has probably sent word to the ever-off-icials, we can sell the Kobester worldwide TODAY (no LeBoo-Boo available), Dwight, the younger, can simply wait his turn.Just bidness. There will not be any Jordan rules vs. Kobe. This is a kinder and gentler NBA that understands protecting your investment.Everything Detroit’s McFilthy and McNasty did to Jordan back in the day is a flagrant today. If Orlando wins tonite I will have to readjust my whole world view!

Down the road think Kobe or LeBron teaming up with Dwight, a la Kobe and Shaq. That would not only win, it would sell big time! You don’t think so?Think merger, merger,$$$$$$

  4. LaLaLand, merger or expansion? We already got a Stern warning that LeNo’Brien Trophy is not needed in the Big Apple to help the NBA churn more butta. I would put big money, if my stash wasn’t so small — see Geico, on Shaq re-teaming with Kobe or siding with LeBummed before Superman surrenders his cape to become Robin to someone’s Batman or Robin Hood — taking from the rich team to make another rich team richer.

But, I agree that LALA LaSpanks the Magic and the series ends in three with the Magic so embarassed and outraged that they forfeit the fourth game.

  5. We’ve been waiting too long gents. Gotham has been overly patient. All the conspiracy dust has settled. It’n now time for the NYK Big Three. Too much Curry on the chicken will make it bitter. Thanks for the smokescreen but the HOF ABS Coach who thought the prized jewel Ariza was delusional has already thrown the monkey wrench on Stephen to NY. He said he thought NY wants a clean taste after that truck incident. Ask Khan and the NY MSM flossing DW about a bad taste!
The DRAFT will be interesting and Steady is holding out for a BLOCKBUSTER. When does the Black Mamba expire again?

    Steady and never delusional.

I have a Black Mamba surprise for you in a future post. Let’s just say that he makes the Orange and Blue look good.

With so many rumors flying around one things for sure.

The constant is that the only importance the Knicks have to the NBA is for off season rumor milling,…
