  1. Knicks to use LED signage courtside
September 21, 2009 · Filed Under New York Knicks, News

Madison Square Garden announced today that the New York Knicks plan to use new state-of-the-art LED signage courtside at home games during the 2009-10 season. The Knicks will become the first NBA team to utilize the technology at the courtside location. The new signage will enhance game presentation, expand partner integration opportunities and allow for instant customization from Knicks pregame through postgame at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks will premiere the new LED courtside signage at their first preseason home game on Tuesday, October 13 against the Philadelphia 76ers.

“At Madison Square Garden we are always looking for innovative and cutting-edge technology that will enhance the game experience for our fans and create value for our partners,” said Scott O’Neil, president, Madison Square Garden Sports. “The new LED courtside signage for the Knicks is extremely dynamic and offers instant customization, which will not only enrich the viewing experience for fans, but provides a visual enhancement for our partners brands and helps us maximize their exposure throughout a game.”

The new courtside LED signage will be synchronized throughout games with all of the digital signage in the bowl at Madison Square Garden, including MSG’s GardenVision center hung scoreboard and ribbon boards circling the middle-level, creating a 360 degree experience for fans and partners. The LED technology provides clear off angle viewing for fans in-arena and those watching Knicks’ telecasts on MSG. The signage has also been designed with player safety in mind, featuring a spring mount mechanism that allows for up to four inches of flexibility in case of a collision. The specially created LED signage combines a scorer’s table designed by Signco, LED panels by Mitsubishi and integration control software by ANC. Madison Square Garden Sports worked in conjunction with the NBA to trial the signage at several New York Liberty games at the end of the WNBA regular

    • Glad you like. You had some excellent suggestions join the competition. Unfortunately, the Ipanema Girl didn’t really have pics that would qualify, but she was a looker.

  3. Knicks open training camp next week. The first pre-season game takes place in Albany, N.Y. (?) vs. the New Jersey Nets. I doubt that it will be televised. The first MSG home pre-season game is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13 v. Philadelphia. When do we get to vote on the top 12 dancing babes?

  4. Poor Nate is looking for help with his kid’s name….he’s thankfully cooling on the peculiarly Russian-sounding “Navyi” and is pondering the more militant “Nayvi” instead.

Someone please send him a Tweet or whatev the eff it is and drop some knowledge on him. =)

    • Nate should have stuck with Naja. I know he wants to just be a regular fun loving guy, but the dude really should put down the Crackberry. His tweets don’t really help you take him seriously and I am a big Nate Robinson the basketball player fan. I think he is the main reason the Knicks are in most games, but he needs to stop, IMHO.

  5. LIVES, where to do you keep finding these GREAT photos of the SOFT & LOVELY’S….

Dawg, if Mansfield, Bardot, JAYNE (I saw what Leon did to her), Lola Gola, and the sweet Melon Lip Yme were on the present DANCE SQUAD, I’d Have 5 PERMANENT POLES at the compound… Them dancing and me watching OUR BELOVED KNICKS on the Package for about a QUARTER, MAN, A DWAG GOT DO WHAT A DAWG GOT TO DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…

  6. Dawg, it was a labor of love. Bardot had so many pics to choose from I thought about starting my own photo album, but then I’d have to hide it on the blog (like my pops did the Playboys and the Richard Pryor albums when I was a kid) so that 2 year old Alpha Junior wouldn’t get any ideas too soon.

Man, you know what’s good. Brother I think everyone has a right to their sexual preference (and sometimes appreciation of a good bod has nothing to do with that) but I am a booster of healthy, confident heterosexuality. What is wrong with openly celebrating the opposite sex as long as it is done with respect and love(the Creator is a MasterPlanner, don’t you think)?

Yeah, I’m surprised at the low level of comments too (but the number of views are rising brotherman, LOL.) Funny, how fast folks will gay bash as if that is proof of masculinity or sexuality. No need to try to hurt someone else just to reinforce your own identity. Just be prideful in whatever you bring to the mix. I respect everyone’s choices, but next to basketball a good woman can heal most ailments. (I mean really, basketball can cure the flu, maybe not the swine flu, but it’s better than Robitussin).

Anyway, I digress. Thanks for the responses gents.

  8. Steadily, I must interupt this soft core with some hard core reality reaction to the latest rumblings in the NBA. Not at all surprised that a new gimmick for increasing marketing value and Ad Space is being rolled out in NY at Mecca. Then, a former NYK pick (Henderson) is contemplating being a SCAB for the Lil General in his fight against Mac and the Refs. Say Mac, shoulda thought twice ’bout letting the Lil General “get off” with the Lone Rogue Ref deal without a new CBA in tow while you a had a foot on f’n neck. And then Euroball coming where–to da NYC. Not just our side, but to Brooklyn too. Russian loot in the NBA–no wonder Air Jordan is gambling about starting an over 50 League. And who said anything about taking J’s. With so many changes, you need new rules, and a new set of characters in the Scriptosense. New tag line Fanatics:
NBA =Nothing But Actors–If you can’t love the characters, just love the Game!

Steady as IToo Love the game.
